Day 19

Mirror of Korea is a favorite spot in St. Paul. Sooooo many yummy options!

Day 18

Sleepy baby glued to her "humans" since the return from Maui.

Day 17

We missed our babies so much we had to buy the leis! Stella loved hers... Scarlett wouldn't even take a nice picture! Our trip to Maui was beyond words. What an amazing time...

Mahalo nui loa Maui. A hui hou kakou...
(Thank you very much Maui. Until we meet again...)

Day 16

By far the best sport to watch here. Surfing and boogie boarding is so popular that on our last day we spent the end of it watching them from the beach.

Day 15

First time for everything! A ride in a submarine down to 135 ft below sea level! Quite the experience!

Day 14

Words and cameras can not depict how clear and blue the water is here.

Day 13

Day 13=Road to Hana=treacherous 52 miles with 617 hair pin curves and 56 narrow one-lane bridges. Truly one of the most amazing sightseeing tours I have been on. We were able to see rainforest, lava, plants, birds, landscape, exotic fruits, flowers, waterfalls, etc. I took around 550 pictures on this day alone...

Day 12

Today we got in a van at 2:40 am to ride to the top of Haleakala Volcano. The sunrise was breathtaking. And cold! We left MN at 30F and arrived in Maui at 80F. Haleakala? 40F... We did not have enough clothes!! But it was so worth it!

Day 11

We were so lucky and had the most beautiful weather for whatever was in our path. Today was the Iao Valley. A magnificent area where the Jurassic Park waterfall was filmed. We went hiking along the stream and played with the camera settings to practice capturing moving water.

Day 10

It was whale watching season in Hawaii. We saw many whales that have swam from Alaska to have their babies in the warm waters of Hawaii. This shot was taken just off the coast of Maui-near Lahina.

Day 9

Mahalo=Thank you in Hawaiian. And boy was I thankful for my new camera! Took about 1800 pics on the trip! It was very difficult to narrow it down for photo of the day... One day I might have 2... :)

Day 8

LAX= weary travelers.

Day 7

On our way to tropical paradise! Hawaii for 7 days! :) While flying I couldn't help but capture some of the great mountain ranges on such a clear day...

Day 4

My "sister" was here to visit. After instilling fear into the cats I made her a scarf and had her sit for a long time to grab this shot. What a cutie! :)

Day 3

This is my friends indoor plant and I just loved the texture of the whole lot. Super interesting! Is winter over yet? I love how it reminds you of summer!

Day 2

Decided I would play with my macro settings. I am excited to keep working on this!

Day 1

I took this shot as my first for several reasons. Its the tree I get to look at when sitting on my couch, the sun was rising on a new year, the birds were playing in the branches, and it says so many things about what I believe in. We all must stay grounded throughout all the things life throws at us. Peace and love as we ring in the New Year!
